Friday, October 25 2024, All day Emory University Gathering Minds Across Georgia: Promoting Interdisciplinary Statistics Research The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University and the University of Georgia department of Statistics cordially invite you to the 2024 Georgia Statistics Day (GSD)! This year, GDS will be hosted at Emory University! GSD is a one-day local research event designed to promote interdisciplinary research among statistical researchers and data scientists within the state of Georgia and vicinity states. Attendees of GSD generally include faculty, postdocs, and students from academic institutions, researchers from industry. The program of GSD covers a diverse range of topics related to statistical methods, applications, and practice. Our workshop provides a unique opportunity for faculty and graduate students from Georgia’s leading institutions to present their latest work, connect with peers, and gain exposure to cutting-edge developments shaping their fields. With a focus on mentorship and networking, Georgia Statistics Day facilitates idea exchange and partnership building among statisticians, data scientists, and interconnected domain experts in Georgia and the Southeast.
