Statistics student, Jordan Eckert, has been awarded the Curo Research Assistantship. This award includes a one-semester stipend of $1000 to conduct faculty-mentored research under the guidance of Dr. Megan Lutz. Jordan Eckert is a statistics major here at the University of Georgia. After graduating in May, he plans on going to graduate school and eventually earning his PhD. After which he wants to become a professor and continue doing research in the statistics field. His research interest are multivariate analysis, linear modeling, sports statistics, and spatial statistics. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and also works on campus as a student consultant for EITS. His directed self study will be focused over multinomial logit and probit modeling for predictive outcomes.
